Job Description

The Academic Counselor is responsible for handling student inquiries and leads, connecting with prospective students via calls, explaining academic programs, and guiding them through the admission process. The primary goal is to convert leads into successful enrollments while maintaining a positive student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Call prospective students from given leads and databases to introduce academic programs.

  2. Pitch courses, programs, and career opportunities effectively to generate student interest.

  3. Counsel students on program eligibility, admission requirements, and career prospects.

  4. Follow up with students through calls, emails, and messages to ensure timely conversions.

  5. Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, follow-ups, and admissions in the CRM system.

  6. Achieve individual and team admission targets within deadlines.

  7. Provide accurate information about courses, fees, scholarships, and other admission details.

  8. Assist students in completing the admission process, including documentation and fee submission.

  9. Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns and lead-generation activities.

  10. Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a smooth student admission experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA/Marketing or Education preferred).

  • 1–3 years of experience in admissions counseling, telesales, or inside sales.

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills.

  • Strong ability to build rapport and convert inquiries into admissions.

  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting sales/admission targets.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
