Job Title: Wind & Solar Technician

Department: Renewable Energy Operations
Location: Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, PAN India.
Reports To: Field Service Manager / Site Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Wind & Solar Technician to install, maintain, and repair wind turbines and solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role involves fieldwork at renewable energy sites and requires expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Commissioning
  • Install wind turbine components and solar PV systems (modules, inverters, wiring, etc.)
  • Ensure systems are built to manufacturer specifications, site plans, and safety codes
• Operations & Maintenance
  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and performance testing
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults
  • Monitor system performance via SCADA or other monitoring tools
• Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere to OSHA, NEC, and company safety procedures
  • Perform Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and confined space protocols
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
• Teamwork & Communication
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and construction teams
  • Communicate issues clearly with management and provide input for continuous improvement

• Experience:
  • 1–3 years of experience in wind, solar, or electrical field work (entry-level acceptable with training)
• Certifications (preferred):
  • OSHA 10/30, NABCEP, GWO (Global Wind Organization), First Aid/CPR

Skills Required:

• Proficient with electrical testing tools and mechanical equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Physical Requirements:

• Climb wind turbines up to 300 feet
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Work outdoors in varying weather and remote locations
