Qualifications:

· ITI certification in Turner or relevant discipline

· Proven experience as a Turner or in a similar role

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Attention to detail and precision

· Good understanding of safety procedures

Key responsibilities:

· Operating Lathes: Using lathes to create cylindrical shapes, cut threads, and perform other turning operations. 

· Setting Up Machines: Preparing lathes and other turning machines for specific tasks, including selecting appropriate cutting tools and setting machine parameters. 

· Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Understanding and following engineering drawings to ensure accurate part dimensions and specifications. 

· Quality Control: Measuring and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. 

· Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on lathes and other turning equipment. 

· Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the turning process. 

· Collaboration: Working with engineers, designers, and other production personnel to achieve project goals.
