• Proficient in operating: Conventional milling machines (horizontal/vertical), Universal milling machines, Experienced with machining mild steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum components
• Reads and interprets: Engineering drawings, including tolerances and surface finish symbols, Part dimensions, hole patterns, and slot positions, Sets up jobs independently with proper clamping, tool selection, and reference alignment
•  Selects proper: Cutters (end mills, slot drills, face mills), Feeds and speeds based on material type and operation, Performs tool height and zero-point setting, Capable of: Machining brackets, plates, and custom fittings for solar structures,  Achieving close tolerances (±0.05 mm) on slot width, hole centers, and flatness, Maintains uniform surface finish and dimension repeatability
• Accurately uses: Vernier calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, dial indicators,  Angle protractors and radius gauges (if required for part geometry), Plans efficient tool paths to reduce cycle time, Minimizes rework and idle time by proper pre-checks and setups
•  Performs: Daily maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, coolant level check), Keeps the work area clean and organized as per 5S standards
•  Adheres to: Machine operating procedures and PPE compliance, Safe handling of sharp tools and rotating components, Avoids overloading tools or machines, ensuring longer tool life and fewer breakdowns
•  Identifies:Tool wear, vibration issues, fixture looseness, Can correct offsets, change tool paths, or suggest fixture improvements
•  Works well with: Production supervisors, QC inspectors, and maintenance team
•  Maintains: Job logs, rejection reports, and tool usage records
