Job Title: Senior AutoCAD Draftsman

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior AutoCAD Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise and detailed technical drawings for various projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and related software based on project requirements.

2. Interpret sketches, blueprints, and technical specifications to create accurate drafts.

3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project goals and client expectations.

4. Revise and update drawings based on feedback or changes in project specifications.

5. Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and associated documents.

6. Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company and industry standards.

7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior draftsmen or drafters.

8. Liaise with fabricators, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of designs.

9. Stay updated with advancements in AutoCAD software and drafting techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 7 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, with at least 3  years in a senior role.

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and familiarity with related software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp).

4. Strong understanding of drafting standards, building codes, and industry best practices.

5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

6. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

8. Familiarity with materials, fabrication processes, and construction methodologies is a plus.
