Qualification : BE in mechanical or tool engineering

Job Descriptions 

Business Understanding:

Must have the necessary skills of development of parts for new products.

Must have extensive knowledge on press tool and tool design and different process at suppliers place and also on capacity calculations. Should know part costing.

Interacts with the Design team with regards to the new product development, reviews the design with respect to manufacturability and discuss alternate design solutions and alternate materials. Makes project schedules for the Development of Mechanical parts for New Product (both tooled up and non tooled up). Sound tooling knowledge, experience in soft tooling process and development.

Should be able to independently manage DFM, DFA for sheet metal, busbars.

Experience in jigs, fixtures & other sheet metal products & processes

Application needs understanding

Understands various features, applications, and advantages of The offer catalog

Contributes to generation of technical specifications for a product line using the inputs from customers, voice, survey, hsitoprical, internal product experience

Identifies the differentiating features according the customer typology and life cycle

Rank the features according the values and the willgness to pay from customer

Understands various WW standards features, and constraints for the Lob offer catalog

Conducts risk analysis as it relates to design and process alternatives and the impact to product cost, schedule, and project cost and provides detailed financial analysis of investment alternatives

Quality Design

Ability to translate Customer Critical Requirements into Quality target definition

Ability to identify, apply and drive the Quality methods (including Design For Six Sigma basic ones: Critical to Quality characteristic identification, Scorecards, Pugh matrix, Parameter Diagram, DOE, Process FMEA) required for design success

Ability to coach and check the design optimization and tolerancing to ensure robust design

Ability to create and implement risk dashboards and scorecards to predict & monitor capability of design quality

Ability to ensure consistency, complementarity and right coverage of the tests on technical design and industrial process

DMAIC Green Belt and Design For Six Sigma knowledge

Ability to provide insight into the OCP (Offer Creation Process ) deliverables
