Job Description

Core-Competency: 

  1. Understands hiring needs across: Production, quality, maintenance, toolroom, dispatch, Entry-level roles (fitters, operators, interns) and junior engineers, Can write job descriptions, post on job boards, and screen CVs for basic eligibility.
  2. Handles: Phone screenings, interview scheduling, and follow-ups, Job offer, communication, joining formalities, and rejection feedback.
  3. Maintains a professional and approachable tone with candidates.
  4. Manages: Joining kits, ID creation, asset handovers, Document verification, contract preparation, and induction coordination, Ensures timely updates to employee master database and physical files;
  5. Maintains: Attendance, leaves, and timesheet records (manual or software), Basic HRMIS or Excel trackers for new hires, attrition, birthdays, etc., Creates monthly payroll inputs, overtime logs, and compliance summaries.
  6. Familiar with:PF, ESI, gratuity, and factory HR documentation, Drafting appointment letters, warning notices, and confirmation letters; Understands factory HR policies on: Code of conduct, shift rotation, PPE adherence, Escalation channels and grievance redressal; Comfortable interacting with: Blue-collar staff (operators, helpers, fitters), Line supervisors and inter-departmental leads, Builds trust while enforcing HR policy boundaries.
  7.  Willing to: Learn new HR tools, handle walk-ins, audits, vendor queries, Support event planning, training sessions, and compliance renewals.
  8. Maintains discretion with sensitive salary, grievance, or termination data, Follows internal processes strictly with integrity and fairness; Proficient with: Excel, Google Sheets, ERP tools, Preparing monthly hiring status, attrition, and manpower utilization reports.
  9. 2 years experience in Steel Industry is mandatory.
